Unexpected Honour for Forgotten Good Deed

Exactly a week ago, something truly beautiful happened.

Apostle Philip Dela Fiator, Founder of the Living Word Charismatic Church International (LCCI) at Nungua Cold Store, honoured me with a touching citation and invited me to dine with him, the Chairman, and the pastors of the church.

It was a wonderful surprise, one I never expected.

Honestly, it never even crossed my mind when I was invited to attend the church’s 5th anniversary celebration.

Five years ago, Apostle Fiator, who was then Reverend, called me one Saturday evening to decorate the church auditorium for Sunday service.

It was very short notice, but I agreed because I wanted to support his ministry.

Out of love, I said, “Let’s get it done.”

That night, we ran around, gathered what we could, and worked late to make the place look beautiful in the church’s colours.

When we were done, he asked how much I was charging but added that they didn’t have money.

I smiled and told him I wasn’t taking anything.

Later, when they called me to come for the decoration items, I said, “It’s yours. Keep it.”

I never thought about it again until five years later, when this wonderful surprise came.

This experience has taught me a valuable lesson: it truly pays to do good, no matter who is watching or how others treat you.

Don’t stop doing good.

Appreciate people who go the extra mile for you, even in small ways, because such gestures make the world a better and happier place.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to Apostle Philip Dela Fiator, the Chairman Dr. Charles Afetornu, the Board, pastors, and the entire church for this honour.

I don’t take it lightly at all.

From the depths of my heart, I say thank you.
